The Intelligent Fascia

Presence, Perception and the Subtle Art of Following the Body

This workshop is an invitation to slow down… and listen in a different way.

The body is continually communicating. Through subtle shifts, tissue movement, breath, stillness, and response, it offers information about what may be ready to change.

In this two-day experiential workshop, we’ll explore how becoming more present and learning to follow the body’s guidance can deepen both your perception and your confidence as a practitioner.

Exploring the moment where change begins.

What Makes This Workshop Different

Many workshops offer valuable techniques and ways of working.

This workshop begins somewhere different.

It begins by cultivating your ability to become more present, to listen more deeply, and to trust what the body is already communicating.

Rather than asking,

"What should I do next?"

You may find yourself asking,

"What is the body already showing me?"

As your perception develops, technique becomes less about doing more and more about responding to what is already unfolding beneath your hands.

The result is often a quieter, more confident way of working—one that feels natural, respectful, and deeply connected to both practitioner and client.

Who Is This Workshop For?

This workshop is designed for massage therapists, bodyworkers, and other hands-on practitioners who feel called to deepen the way they listen.

Perhaps you've been practicing for years and know there's something more beneath the techniques you've learned.

Or maybe you're newer to the profession and want to build a strong foundation rooted in presence, curiosity, and trust from the very beginning.

You don't need to have all the answers.

You don't need to work exactly as I do.

You simply need a willingness to slow down, become more present, and explore what the body may already be communicating.

If you've ever found yourself wondering...

"I know the techniques... but how do I trust what I'm feeling?"

"Is this movement coming from me... or is it truly coming from the client's body?"

"Am I addressing the body's deeper concern... or am I interrupting what the body is trying to do?"

...this workshop was created with you in mind.

You may find yourself here if...

• You want to develop greater confidence in what you're sensing.

• You'd like your sessions to feel less rushed and more responsive.

• You're curious about following the body's subtle guidance rather than relying solely on technique.

• You enjoy learning through experience, reflection, and thoughtful practice.

• You believe healing begins with presence as much as technique.

• You want to leave feeling inspired—not just with new information, but with a different way of seeing your work.

What You'll Experience

Throughout these two days, you'll move between guided discussion, demonstrations, hands-on exploration, personal reflection, and shared conversation.

You'll have time to slow down, notice, ask questions, and practice in an environment where curiosity is encouraged and there is no pressure to have everything figured out.

Together we'll explore concepts such as:

• Developing a quieter, more present way of listening

• Recognizing subtle tissue responses and body communication

• Understanding the difference between following and leading

• Building confidence in what you're genuinely sensing

• Exploring the relationship between practitioner presence and client response

• Integrating these experiences into your everyday practice

Every workshop unfolds a little differently because every group brings its own questions, experiences, and insights. Rather than following a rigid script, we allow space for discovery while staying grounded in the core principles of the workshop.

Our Learning Environment

Every workshop is intentionally kept small to encourage curiosity, questions, and thoughtful exploration. My intention is that our time together feels supportive and engaging—a place where curiosity is encouraged, laughter is welcome, meaningful connections naturally unfold, and everyone feels supported in discovering their own way of listening.
